Owners: Mr. & Mrs George Paine (Deceased); Mrs. Edith Richmond (Their daughter) recently inhered it, a charming, rustic, country home with rambling wooden addition, 1 story. Notes in the Permanent File of Cobblestone Structures by Robert Frasch circa mid 1960's.
This cobblestone building was once located [on the east side just south of] the corner of Birdsey (County Route 106) and Bedell roads. It appears on the 1859 map of Seneca county[, shown below, as the residence of A I Green]. It was a small, crudely-built structure with wooden corner boards. Photo taken by Glenn Hinchey in 1993 and used by permission, was demolished about 1998. Richard Palmer blog. Editor's notes in brackets.
